The Finer Details

One of The Farmhouse’s most fascinating rooms and once the prison cell for the town. Evidence of the bars that were once on the windows can still be seen.

Now decorated with rich colours and fabrics, this room isn’t such a bad place to be locked up in for the night. The en-suite bathroom is particularly cosy with a large bath with shower and perfect for a post mountain soak.

Before its days as a cell, the room may have originally been a parlour or tack room. The alcoves used to look into the stables next door, now the Dining Room, allowing the family to keep a close eye on their livelihood, the cattle. Hidden underneath this room was a cheese cellar.

This downstairs room can be configured as a twin or double, and faces out onto the garden and the old water trough.
