Our Story

We would love you to join us in the mountains to celebrate our wedding on 20th July 2024.

Having been together for 10 years, one of our favourite things to do together has been travel, but there is one place in particular that is unbeatable for us in both summer and winter – Morzine. A place made even more special when Hugo decided to propose on 7th March 2023 in the beautiful mountain surroundings.

This therefore made it the ideal location to tie the knot. We have had some of our happiest times in Morzine and we can’t wait to share such a special place with our family and friends.

When & Where

We are delighted to say our wedding will be held at The Farmhouse Mas De La Coutettaz– at the heart of Morzine, in the French Alps.

The main event will be on Saturday. We will be soaking up Morzine life on either side of the wedding but there is no pressure to join on Friday or Sunday. If you do plan to join on Sunday, please let us know in your RSVP.

How To Get There

The Farmhouse is at 75 minute drive from Geneva, and it is a straightforward journey from Geneva Airport or central railway station by one of the following options:

    • Geneva in Switzerland is the closest international airport. It’s a 1 hour 15 minutes drive away from Morzine.
    • There are many transfer services – we recommend booking the transfer service via this link to receive a 10% rebate on their published rates or through AlpyBus, which is a cheaper alternative.

If you plan to rent a car, it is cheaper to rent from the French side of the airport, but please be aware when you return it, you will need to pay a road tax in Switzerland if you use the Swiss motorway. There are similar alternative routes to avoid this.
Alternatively, Lyon airport, in France is 2 hours 15 minutes away.

  • You might decide to rent a car from the airport or drive all the way to Morzine. If your accommodation has limited parking space, we can recommend the following car parks, all a few minutes walking distance from The Farmhouse:
    Parking Joux Plane
    Parking du Bourg
    Parking de l’Office de Tourism

Questions & Answers

  • Dress code Saturday: Summer wedding

Please do keep in mind Morzine is at 1000m altitude (3281 feet). As always in the mountains, it can get both very hot during the summer days and pretty fresh during the evening.

A note on shoes: we will spend lots of time on the grass and therefore you may wish to avoid stiletto heels!

  • No. We are conscious that many guests have a very long way to travel.
We are very thankful that you are attending our wedding and this is the biggest gift you can give us. We do not wish for any other gifts.

  • We plan to celebrate the ceremony and champagne reception outside in the garden.
For the dinner we will also be outside but under a stretch tent.
Last but not least, the party will be inside.
In case of rain, everything will take place either under the tent or inside.

Where to stay?
